I think one of my problems is that I actually use my yarn almost as quickly as I buy it!

This is my baby sock yarn stash, I’ve been growing it for the last three or four months, and I plan to continue

I have a rather serious problem with buying yarn this week.  This photo is representative of the yarns I picked up in the last 5 days, including 2 skeins of Alchemy Juniper in Pewter, 2 skeins Claudia Handpainted Yarns in Raspberry, 6 skeins GGH Leona in 006 (white), 6 skeins GGH Safari in chocolate brown, 11 skeins Rowan Linen Drape in burgundy, 1 skein of Prism Lace Wool in 309 (purple).  I am going to take this opportunity to admit that I ordered just as much from Eat.Sleep.Knit and that order will be arriving shortly, which I will be sure to photograph and link up here :)
On the photography note, I will be getting an actual digital camera at some point (around the time I stop spending all of my money on yarn or my birthday whichever comes first), and then I’ll be posting photos much more actively.

I got this Rowan Linen Drape in burgundy from a knitting store that is going out of business.  It was super discounted and I am loving it.  I’ve knit up a few inches of the dress it will become and the fabric it makes is really beautiful, rich in color while still being muted and natural.  I machine washed and dried my swatch and the color did not fade at all, nor were there any adverse effects, the only difference is that post laundering the strands “bloomed” a bit creating a more solid fabric that is softer to the touch.

I hear this yarn is discontinued, but if you happen upon any I recommend buying it up!
